||> Summary
After Buffy finds out about Spike siring other vampires, we're treated to him actually doing it. However, the Scoobies don't see it so they set about finding proof. Meanwhile, Spike, after a confrontation with Buffy, starts to have flashbacks and does a little investigating himself. In England, a watcher-type comes home to see another chick murdered, gets stabbed, and at the end of the episode, Giles comes barging in just in time to see an axe coming down on his head.

To be honest, there's not much I can really say about this episode. It was very Spuffy-centric, so it was really all about Buffy finding out about Spike's other side and how they all deal with it. Frankly, it also seemed pretty short but that may have been because of the singular plot line which makes everything seem shorter. I would have liked to see more of Willow dealing with her pain, or Dawn too in this episode, since they all had life threatening/changing experiences, and I was pretty surprised it only dealt with the one thing, you know?
Anyway, the two things to talk about were Spike and Spike. First with the funny. I really liked the interaction he had with Anya and earlier, with Anya and Xander. The only times I really laughed seemed to involve her in the episode, so I was very pleased during those scenes. Xander's comments towards her were great and when she went snooping, I thought what she did was very brave. When Spike woke up, I thought the way he got so embarassed was pretty funny. But then he went and turned all creepy after he went out. And he was very, very chilling. I guess I have been so used to the bumbling Spike that when he turned all sexy/evil/creepy I was a little horrified, but it was a good horrified too. And the dialogue while he was about to bite that girl with the pseudo-Buffy was remenicient of his sado-masochistic Drusilla days. Very Marti Noxon, and I could see the whole sex/death dynamic there too. It was nice... I just wish there had been more of an ensemble to this show.
