||> Summary
Spike and Andrew come back to find Buffy gone. Buffy found a house, and as an act of retribution, kicked out it's owner. Spike bawls the chaotic remanents out and beats up Faith a little. Faith is then bawled out by the first in the guise of the Mayor which puts her on the scoreboard. And then pre-apocalyptic sex with Principal Wood seems to ease her pain. Xander and Anya also partake in a little about-to-die nookie as do Kennedy and Willow. In fact, everyone revs their engines except for Spike and Buffy who, after being tired after last season, merely fall asleep in each other's arms. Buffy goes out to search after this and finds "the weapon" while Faith and co, after a similar search find an arsenal and a bomb about to explode.

I could see why some did not like this episode, but I did. In a way I sympathize with everyone. I see how Buffy just pushed and struggled and fought until the others had no choice but to push back. She was arrogant, sure, and it pissed people off, but she did it out of love and a need to help and save everyone. That the others couldn't take it, I understand, but Spike is right too when he said she is one hell of a woman.
As for the pre-apocalyptic sex, well, why not? If you knew they apocalypse was going to come, wouldn't you get it on too? I actually thought it was all quite sexy, with the exception of the scenes with Xander and Anya who were a bit more fumbly. I also liked how Spike and Buffy didn't, since she did, after all, need the sleep.
I also like the way that Buffy figured out about Caleb. She knew if she fought, she'd lose, so she didn't fight and by dodging like that, she won and could find the knife-thing that only a Slayer could wield. To be honest though, I am a bit worried about Faith's find. I assume they walked into what Caleb wanted them to walk into and buffy found what she usually can, the source. I'm interested in what this all will lead into. And while I'm not loving that there are only 2 episodes left, I am really excited to see them.
