The Triangle Sunshine Ritual ||>
I tried to salvage this interrupted spell into something...
but I didn't know what to do. Then I thought, well, Willow was
doing the spell to kill vampires right? And vampires really represent
the internal struggles on BtVS, so why not instead of shining
the ball of sunlight outside in real life (although you could),
shine it inside to kill "inner demons." And yes, I know
it sounds fluffy, but I like it all the same. :) This ritual is
akin to the "Lesser Nearing Ritual" but instead of drawing
yourself closer to deity, drawing in positive energy in you so
that you feel better. This is a solitary ritual, so there will
be no group version. Sorry.
Oh, and I also wanted to address the herb issue. I use different
herbs than Willow uses. This is because fleabane is an astringent,
salamander eyes are gross, bindweed causes diarrhea and helebore
causes your heart to stop. None of these things you want to ingest,
and mixed together, they will kill you. So I changed the herbs
to more correspondent things with the spell and also to general
health.
Materials:
- A spoonful of sugar (helps the medicine
go down?)
- orange peel (for a sunshiney day)
- water (to mix - you can't do it without
:))
This ritual is done whenever. You don't need to do quarter
calls, but you might want to make a circle before doing this as
you'll be a bit vulnerable after you ground and center
Take the orange peel and water and heat it up to make
tea. Consecrate it and the sugar. Once you are in the circle, pour
the spoonful of sugar in and consecrate the beverage. Ground and
center. When you are ready, pull energy to form a ball of light
and infuse the drink in it, make the drink and all of its properties
one with this energy. Now speak, and when you speak, make this light
conform to what you want: positivity and sunshine.
Spirits of light,
I invoke thee.
Let the gloom of darkness part before you.
Let the moonlight be made pale by your presence.
Spirits of light, grant my wishes.
Drink it slowly. If it gets too powerful, stop and ground
the excess. Open the circle and go about your day. |
